What the hotel lists
The hotel's guest-rooms page describes the Luxury King Suites as business suites, aimed at travellers who want a well-appointed master bedroom plus the convenience of a private meeting area. Bed size follows from the name. Seating capacity of the meeting area is not published.
When a suite beats a boardroom
| Situation | Suite | Boardroom on the floor plan |
|---|---|---|
| Two or three people, one hour | Suite is simpler | Overkill |
| Interview or client call with a laptop | Suite | Possible |
| Six to ten people with catering | Ask | Rooms such as Woodbine (312 sq ft), Shawnessy (324 sq ft) or Somerset (288 sq ft) |
| Twenty people or more | No | Midnapore, Bridlewood or Sundance rooms |
The floor-plan rooms are booked through the sales team at sales@dfic.ca or (403) 723 4027. A suite is booked like any other room.
Working on the road
Every room in the hotel has a desk, charging ports and complimentary Wi-Fi; the suite adds the table space. The hotel does not publish Wi-Fi speeds. If a video call matters, test the connection on arrival and keep the phone hotspot as the backup plan.
Views
The 28 suites are described by the hotel as offering mountain and city views, without saying which suite faces which way. Ask for a west-facing upper floor if the Rockies on the horizon are part of the plan, and accept that the desk can only do its best.
