The waterpark
| Feature | Detail |
|---|---|
| Pool | One main pool |
| Water slide | Two storeys, four curls |
| Hot tubs | Two |
| Toddler area | Yes |
| Hours | Daily, 7:00 a.m. – 12:00 a.m. |
| Who can use it | Hotel guests |
The slide is described by the hotel as aimed at the kids. Lifeguard cover, depth markings, height limits for the slide and towel arrangements are not published. Treat the waterpark as supervised by you.
Midnight closing is unusually late for a hotel pool, which suits arrivals off a long drive: check in at 10 p.m., swim at 10:30, sleep by 11:30.
The fitness centre
The hotel lists treadmills, ellipticals and strength training equipment, available 24/7. For a driver, twenty minutes on a treadmill after a day in the seat is the cheapest back treatment available. The equipment count and room size are not published.
In-room spa services
The hotel promotes massage in the guest room by a company called The InRoom Spa, daily from 9:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m., booked through the hotel on (403) 236-7529.
| Treatment | Length | Published price |
|---|---|---|
| In-room custom massage | 60 min / 90 min | $139 / $189 |
| Aroma moisture massage | 60 min / 90 min | $149 / $199 |
| Head 'n sole massage | 60 min | $129 |
| Add-on: aromatic scalp massage | 20 min | $39 |
| Add-on: hot-towel foot massage | 30 min | $59 |
There is no spa floor, sauna or treatment room listed. "Spa" here means a therapist and a table that come to you, which after the Banff drive may be the better arrangement anyway.
Planning notes
- 1
Pack swimwear
Obvious, and still the most forgotten item on family trips.
- 2
Hot tubs and children
Hot tub rules are not published; many Alberta facilities restrict young children. Ask at the desk.
- 3
Pool parties
The weekend kids pool party package books the waterpark for one hour, then the Mohave Grill. See Family Suite for details.
- 4
Quiet hours
A late-closing pool can mean late noise near it. Ask for a room away from the pool hall if you are an early sleeper.
