What the hotel lists
- One king-size bed
- A pull-out queen-size sofa bed
- An easy chair
- The standard kit: 42-inch TV, Keurig and kettle, mini fridge, desk, opening window, iron, hair dryer, charging ports, Wi-Fi
The hotel pitches the room at couples and business travellers. The sofa bed makes it more flexible than that.
Why drivers pick it
A king bed after six hours on Highway 2 is the main argument. The second is the sofa bed: two adults and one or two children can sometimes share a room that would otherwise need to be a two-queen, but only if the hotel's occupancy rule allows it on your rate. The hotel does not publish that rule, so state the head count in your request.
The desk and charging ports matter for anyone working on the road. The opening window matters for anyone who sleeps badly in recycled air.
